Wireless feeding rate real-time monitoring system of combine harvester

2017
In this paper, a feeding rate wireless testing method of combine harvester which based on the torque measurement of auger sprocket wheel is described. Wireless torsional strain gauges were designed and fixed in the refitting sprocket, which is used to detect the flow rate of collected corn in a form of torque, and the wireless data transportation is realizing by wireless launching and receiving module. The relational model among feeding rate, sprocket wheel torque and sensor's output voltage is established by linear regression theory and practical experimental data. By analyzing 39 sets of field experiment data, the result shows that the test error range of feeding rate wireless detection is between 0.55 %~6.68 %, the mean value of test error is 3.57% and the maximum test error is not exceeding 10 %, which means the wireless system can meet the detection requirement effectively and practically.
