The utility model discloses a safety belt wearing identification device based on machine vision. The safety belt wearing identification device consists of a digital signal processor (DSP), a light ray sensor, a light ray compensation lamp, a charge coupled device (CCD) camera and a audible and visual alarm device, wherein the DSP is respectively connected with the light ray sensor, the light ray compensation lamp, the CCD camera and the audible and visual alarm device through different ports; an image acquisition card is connected in series between the CCD camera and the DSP; the light ray sensor detects a light ray environment of a compartment; the light ray compensation lamp is arranged over a passenger and is used for compensating the light ray environment in the compartment; and the CCD camera is fixed in the compartment and is used for acquiring information of a safety belt and sending an image to the DSP through the image acquisition card. The safety belt wearing identification device not only can identify whether the passenger wears the safety belt and determine a wearing state of the safety belt.
