Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a broadcast service in an extended digital broadcasting

There are provided a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving a digital broadcasting. The method comprises sending and receiving main broadcast data and supplemental broadcast data, wherein the main broadcasting data are able to provide a base broadcasting service independent, and wherein the supplemental broadcast data are capable of an extended broadcast service in combination with the provide main broadcast data using two different methods, so that the extended broadcast service can be provided.
