Lipase-catalyzed synthesis and characterization of functional polyester

Ternary condensed polymer of 1,8-octanediol,adipic acid and L-malic acid was synthesized via a lipase-catalyzed direct polycondensation.The structure and thermal properties of the products were characterized.The reactivity of L-malic acid is lower than that of adipic acid.The molecular weight of the polymer decreases with increasing content of L-malic acid.The crystallinity of the binary condensed polymer is better than that of the ternary condensed polymer containing L-malic acid.
