Brazil - Programa de politica de desenvolvimento Sergipe : incluir para desenvolver - avaliacao ambiental

This report contains the results of the environmental impact assessment of the Sergipe Program Development Policy : Include in Order to Develop, whose objectives are to support the Government of Sergipe, Brazil in strengthening public policies to (i) improve results-based public management, (ii ) expand access to quality public services and (iii) expand economic opportunities for the extremely poor population. Evaluation results are presented in four sections. The first section summarizes the policy actions of the Program. In the second section analysis is conducted on the statewide institutional capacity for environmental management and protection, through four cutouts: characterization of the landmark legal-institutional analysis of the capabilities and resources available for defense, environmental profile analysis of state environmental agenda, strategic vision environmental management, and municipal capacities for environmental management. The third section contains the environmental impact assessment according to the three lines of policy action, then the overall assessment of the potential environmental impacts identified. The fourth section presents the recommendations.
