Stereovision based software to estimate crop parameters in greenhouses.

Crop growth parameters as TRV (Tree Row Volume) and LAI (Leaf Area Index) are very important in control strategies for crop growing; it makes possible to determine instantly the quantity of water and plant protection products to be applied to the crop. Current methods of calculation consist of manually measuring the first plant in the row at different heights and the distances between them. In this work, an online software application is presented, which computes each row with known camera arrangements to calculate TRV by a stereovision method, as it is a powerful tool to capture tridimensional data in order to reconstruct tridimensional scenes. Afterwards, OpenGL based filtering algorithms are applied to compute TRV.
