Research ontheVoltage-Sharing Performance of500kVGapless MOA onPowerLines

Inthispaper, by usingfinite element analysis(FEA) andboundary element analysis(BEA), thepotential distribution of500kVGapless MOA on PowerLinesiscalculated. Considering towers, power lines, grading rings andetc, theposition andsizeof grading rings areadjusted tooptimize thestructure. Theresults ofFEA andBEA numerical calculation indicate that theresistor ofMOA attheline side would bearaveryhighvoltage without grading ringorwith unsuitable grading rings. Whilethe500kVGapless MOA isusedontower, fitting 3grading rings onlyat thelinesideandnograding ringatthetowerside, wouldrealize theuniformity of thepotential distribution, andthenon-uniform coefficient ofvoltage distribution isnomorethan9.50%.
