Post-Transplant Rectal Lymphoma After Subtotal Colectomy for Lynch Syndrome–Associated Colorectal Adenocarcinoma.

2009
Ulcerative colitis (UC) carries an increased risk of colorectal cancer, with an even higher risk for those with concomitant primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Lynch syndrome is also associated with an increased likelihood of colorectal cancer. The prolonged use of immunosuppression after transplantation further increases the risk of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD). We report the novel case of a patient with long-standing UC and PSC, a transplanted liver, and Lynch syndrome with two synchronous colon adenocarcinomas cured by subtotal colectomy who presented to us with a rectal B-cell lymphoma.
