Advance of Study on the Strength Reduction Finite Element Method

In this paper the advance of study on the shear strength reduction finite element method is introduced,including the slope failure criterion in strength reduction finite element method, the influence and selection of yield criterions, the application of strength reduction FEM in soil and rock slope, calculation the stabilizing structure inner force of landslide slopes u-sing strength reduction FEM, 3D-Strength reduction FEM. As a result, the computation precision of strength reduction of FEM is improved and it' s application is extended.
