High landfill part abutments of a bridge structure and it's construction method

A structure of an abutment at a bank and a construction method thereof are provided to resist lateral pressure and soil pressure generated in filling the back of the abutment with soil by installing a Geogrid and a steel strip between an abutment foundation and a pile. A structure of an abutment(502) at a bank comprises an abutment foundation(501), a pile(500), a lean concrete, and a horizontal reinforcements(503,505). The pile is located at the bottom of the abutment foundation. The lean concrete is placed at the top of the pile. The horizontal reinforcements are installed between the lean concrete and the abutment foundation or at the back of the abutment. The horizontal reinforcements are a geogrid, and a steel strip.
