ON THE EFFECT OF ASYNCHRONOUS MACHINE LOADS ON THE TRANSIENT BEHAVIOUR OF A LARGE INTERCONNECTED NETWORK

The effect of asynchronous machines on the transient phenomena of a large interconnected network has been investigated with the aid of the stability program of Imatran Voima Oy. When simulating the network using the stability program, differencies between calculated results and network tests have been noticed. When the asynchronous motors are represented by the dynamic model, the damping of the electromechanical oscillations is improved compared with the static model.
