Receiver 5 containing a death domain.

1998
The present invention relates to novel proteins 5HT containing a death domain (DR5) that are members of the receptor family of Tumor necrosis factor (TNF), and have now been shown to bind TRAIL. In particular, isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding human DR5 protein is the provide. DR5 polypeptides are also provided, as are vectors, host cells and recombinant methods for producing the same. The invention also relates to screening methods for identifying antagonists and antagonists of DR5 activity.
