Re(CO)8(μ-dffm) (dffm=diphenilphosphinemethane) was supportted on funtionalized MCM-48 using a post-synthesis meth- od with (3-(2-aminoethylamino)proyil) and trimethoxysilane as anchoring and passivation ligands respectively. The cata- lyst obtained was characterized with infrared spectroscopy (IR-FT), mass spectrometry (MS), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), nitrogen adsorption-desorption and scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM/EDX). Catalysts were used on 1-hexene hydrogenation reactions and show high conversion rates and were reused up to five times without great loss of catalytic activity.
