Modeling and analysis of the optical burst switching network

A detailed queuing model of the optical burst switching network has been proposed. Based on the queuing model, a constraint analysis is done to show that the burst assembly time at the ingress edge node cannot be arbitrarily large or small. Rather, it has finite lower and upper limits depending on the network parameters.
