SUMMARYThe starting point for a discussion of intelligence is a general theory of the individual. Such a theory considers the individual as a dynamic and transformable entity. Various processes are built up in a hierarchical way, largely according to Piaget's view on the development and structure of the intellectual functions. Higher processes are made up of processes already existing at a lower level.
