Estimation of the Co nanoparticles size by magnetic measurements in Co/SiO2 discontinuous multilayers

Abstract Indirect estimations of the particle size and distribution in Co/SiO 2 discontinuous multilayers from magnetic measurements are presented. Three particles size estimations can be deduced from the zero-field cooled–field cooled measurements. Origin of the differences between them and those obtained by other techniques are discussed.
