Study on Mooring Economy and Stability of Floating Wind Turbine

Aiming at the unclear relationship between the economic efficiency of floating wind turbine anchoring system and the effect of improving the stability of the platform, this paper clarified the relationship between the two through simulation analysis. Firstly, a three-dimensional physical model of a full-scale floating wind turbine was established in this paper. Then, based on ANSYS finite element simulation software, a floating wind turbine with different mooring structures was simulated and analyzed under the combined action of wind, waves, currents and mooring loads. Finally, the concept of economic price demand elasticity function was introduced to analyze the relationship between the mooring economy of floating wind turbines and its effect on improving the stability of floating platforms. Simulation analysis results show that: increasing the mooring rope's opening angle can improve the stability of the platform, but when the mooring opening angle is greater than 55 °, increasing the opening angle has little stability gain, and it is not appropriate to continue to increase the mooring.
