Development of New Generation Benzoxazine Thermosets Based on Smart Ortho -Benzoxazine Chemistry

Abstract The subject of benzoxazine resins based on smart ortho -benzoxazine chemistry as well as the corresponding thermosets has been covered as widely as possible with a special emphasis on understanding the ortho -substituted effect on benzoxazine and the corresponding thermosets properties in this chapter. The molecular reasons for the special reactivity as well as their excellent properties have also been discussed based on the benzoxazine resins possessing intramolecular hydrogen bonds. The smart ortho -benzoxazine approach develops a new generation of benzoxazine resins for obtaining high-performance thermosets.
