On the Objects to Be Paraphrased in English Teaching

From an investigation,this paper raises the question of paraphrase.Then it analyzes the meaning of paraphrase and its important functions in English teaching,and then in detail discusses the objects to be paraphrased through examples.The author thinks that the objects to be paraphrased are the words or phrases,different sentence patterns,some sentences of subjunctive mood in special forms and some rhetorical sentences that are hard to understand.Only the objects to be paraphrased are made clear can proper teaching of paraphrase be fulfilled to really improve students' integrated language competence.
