A process for reducing the surface energy of organic materials which comprises treating the organic material with at least one compound of Formula I ** (See formula) ** wherein when n is 1, R1 is hydrogen, C1-C25 , alqueniloC2-C25, -CO-R5, -CH (R10) -CO-R5, -C- (R10) 2CO-R5, -CO-N (R6) -R7, -CH (R10) CO- N- (R6) -R7, -C- (R10) 2CO-N (R6) -R7, -CH (R10) -COOR 5 or -C- (R10) 2CO-OR5; when n is 2, R1 is unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl-substituted benzyl or phenyl alquilenoC1-C24; oxygen or sulfur interrupted with alquilenoC2-C24; -CO-R8-CO-, -CH (R10) -CO-R8-CO-CH- (R10) -, -C- (R10) 2CO-R8-CO-C (R10) 2-, -CO N (R6) -R9-N (R6) -CO-, -CH (R10) -CO-N (R6) -R9-N (R6) -CO-CH- (R10) -, -C- (R10) 2CO-N (R6) -R9-N (R6) -CO-C (R10) 2-, -CH (R10) -CO-O-R9-O-CO-CH - (R10) -oC- (R10) 2CO-O-R9-O-CO-C (R10) 2-; when n is 3, R1 is ** (See formula) ** R2, R3 and R4 independently of one another are hydrogen, C1-C25-C25 alqueniloC2, -CH- (R11) -S (O) p- R12 ** (See formula) ** with the proviso that at least one of R2, R3 or R4 radicals is -CH- (R11) -S (O) p-R12; R5 is C1-C25-C25 alqueniloC2, unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl or halogen substituted phenyl; or FenilalquiloC7-C12, R6 is hydrogen or C1-C4 R7 is hydrogen, C1-C25 unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl or halogen substituted phenyl; R8 is phenylene, unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl-substituted benzyl or phenyl alquilenoC1-C24; with oxygen or sulfur interrupted by alquilenoC2-C24; R9 is a direct bond; unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl-substituted benzyl or phenyl alquilenoC2-C24; or with oxygen or sulfur interrupted alquilenoC2-C24; R10 is hydrogen or C1-C8alkyl, R11 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl, unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl substituted phenyl; R12 is a linear or branched organic radical monovalent perfluorinated alkyl or alkenyl having from four to twenty fully fluorinated carbon atoms, R13 is hydrogen, C1-C25-C25 alqueniloC2, -CO-R5, -CO-N (R6 ) -R 7 or -CH 2 -CO-N (R6) -R7, R14 is hydrogen, C1-C25-C25 alqueniloC2 or -CH (R11) -S (O) p-R12, R15 is hydrogen, C1 -C25, alqueniloC2-C25 or -CH (R11) -S (O) p-R12, R16 is unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl substituted methylene, -S-, -S (O) -, -S - (O) 2-or-CO-; R17 is C1-C4 n is 1, 2 or 3, p is 0, 1 or 2.
