Negocios y servicios en la Ciudad de México a finales del siglo XIX. Análisis espacial y re-clasificación: el directorio de comercio de Figueroa Doménech y los criterios del Sistema de Clasificación Industrial de América del Norte

By examining the business guide published by Jeronimo Figueroa Domenech in his Guia general descriptiva... (1899), our aim is to show a classification approach of Mexico City economic activities. Using the North American Industrial Classification System as a reference, which for 20 years has been applied to analyze the development of economic activities in Mexico, USA and Canada, we are able to explore the distribution of business and urban services areas at the end of nineteenth century as a starting point to study this changes with an historical perspective (longue duree).
