Adjustment-free non-coherent receiver for advanced modulation formats

We discuss the wavelength- and polarization-indepandent operation of a DxPSK receiver using a single interferomenter composed of a 3×3 coupler. The transmission of DxPSK/ADPSK signals is demonstrated with near quntum-limited sensitivity and high spectral efficiency.
