Use of functional magnetic resonance imaging.

This article provides the reader with a brief background of functional MR imaging, a basic understanding of this technique, and more importantly, its potential for clinical and experimental studies. Three case studies are presented to specifically illustrate the use of functional MR imaging in presurgical mapping.
