Clinical picture. Neonatal signs and symptoms

2000
Postnatal infection with the protozoan Toxoplasma gondii is clinically asymptomatic in up to 90 percent of cases[1]. Since the pathogenicity of the parasite for the immunocompetent individual is limited, the course of infection with Toxoplasma gondii is subclinical in most cases, despite the generalized character of the infection with subsequent parasitemia of the host.
