Repair of a rectovaginal fistula using a robotic transanal minimally‐invasive surgical (R‐TAMIS) technique – Video vignette

2020
: Radiation-induced rectovaginal fistulae (RVF) often requires complex procedures to achieve success [1,2]. Low RVF, occurring after radiotherapy, can be treated with local repair but dissection of the fistula could be difficult due to scarring and success can be compromised by local microvascular injury [2]. Flap repair is a valid option, which, in these patients, can be combined with placement of a biologic mesh [2].
