Fractionation and size analysis of magnetic particles using FFF and SPLITT technologies

1999
Field-flow fractionation (FFF) and split-flow thin cell fractionation (SPLITT fractionation) provide high resolution size- or mass-based separation of particulate samples. FFF is an analytical technique, whereas SPLITT fractionation operates on a preparative scale. In this work, the FFF and SPLITT technologies were applied to the size analysis and separation of magnetic beads. The optimization of operating conditions was investigated.
