Reference Values for the B-X Bond Lengths of BI3 and BBr3

High-resolution X-ray analysis of BI3 and BBr3 single crystals as well as high-level theoretical calculations agree on accurate but long B-X bond distances that should be used as future reference to account for their structure, bonding and reactivity.
