Clinical Significance of Cell Survival Curves

2020
Understanding cell cycles is very important in knowing radiobiology behind radiosensitivity and cell death. Cell death for non-proliferating cells is defined as the loss of specific function and for proliferating cells it is defined as the loss of reproductive integrity. This chapter will describe the basic cell survival curve and the relevant mathematical models to explain the cell survival curve (photons) at both conventional and high dose per fractions.
