The method comprises: a target wireless side network element receiving LHN information and/or IP shunt connection instruction from a source wireless side network element; the target wireless side network element determining, according to the LHN information and/or IP shunt connection instruction, whether a terminal moves out of a mobility support area of an IP shunt connection; the target wireless side network element processing the IP shunt connection according to a determination result. The present invention can meet the mobility requirements of an IP shunt service.
