Use of valproic acid or its derivatives in the treatment of deficiencies in hepcidin and their consequences

The present invention relates to the use of valproic acid or of one of its derivatives, to correct deficiencies hepcidin and their effects, whether those that lead to iron overload or of those associated with hepcidino-impaired and that persist after iron depletion, the hemochromatosis arthritis for which there is currently no specific treatment.
