N-[Isononylphenoxypoly(ethyleneoxy)carbonylmethyl]ammonium Chlorides as Inhibitors of Metal Corrosion. I. Inhibition of Steel Corrosion in Aqueous Hydrochloric Media

2001
New ammonium compounds, namely, N-[isononylphenoxypoly(ethyleneoxy)carbonylmethyl]ammonium chlorides, were synthesized and found to be highly effective inhibitors of steel corrosion in aqueous hydrochloric media. The dependence of the inhibitive properties of the title compounds on their structure is discussed.
