The invention discloses a preparation method and application for high-conductivity flake-shaped silver powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps that 1, high-purity spherical silver powder or high-purity near-spherical silver powder serves as a main material; 2, specific graphite powder is added; 3, a certain number of ball-milling additives are added; 4, a certain amount of ball-milling solvent is added; 5, the above raw materials are processed to be a powder syrup precursor which is subjected to ball-milling through specific balls for a certain time; and 6, the product is cleaned, stoved and smashed, the flake-shaped silver powder is obtained. By means of the method, the flake-shaped silver powder with D50 being 1.0-1.9 microns, D90 being 1.7-4.2 microns, Dmax being less than or equal to 7 microns, tap density being 3.4-4.3 g/ml, specific surface area being 0.9-2.6 m /g is prepared; the flake-shaped silver powder is narrow in particle size distribution and easy to distribute; after being solidified, conductive slurry made of the flake-shaped silver powder is low in volume resistivity and good in conductivity and adhesive force. The method is used for preparing low temperature solidified type conductive silver slurry, and adaptive requirements for the silver powder in different silver slurry application areas such as touch panel, flexible circuit board, radio frequency identification and thin-film switch can be met.
