Motion Targets Identification for Bistatic Through-the-wall Radar

An effective motion targets recognition method for bistatic through-the-wall radar is proposed. First, the dual-threshold detection is performed to the range profile, with a power threshold to find the desired motion target reflection and another width threshold to remove narrow glitches imposed by noise and clutter. Second, the centroid of the range profile data within the time window is calculated to separate multiple motion targets. Finally, a smooth filter is design to obtain the accurate number of targets. Experiments are conducted to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method.
