Structure and Properties of Polyaniline Micro- and NanoComposites with Noble Metals

2021
Method of the one-step synthesis was used for the formation of micro- and nanocomposites of polyaniline with noble metals—Au, Pt, Pd, and Ag. The obtained composites demonstrate a semiconducting character of conductivity; their morphology and structure significantly depend on the nature of metals inserted into a polymer matrix. The X-ray, SEM, and AFM studies showed that metal fragments are included in the polymer chain and coordinated with the polymer ligands (Pt, Pd). Part of the metal enters the composite in the form of nanoparticles (Au, Ag) uniformly distributed in the polymer matrix.
