Spatial Modelling Of Water Soil Erosion UsingCIS-based Data

Natural resources data often show spatial dependence among observations. This is an important drawback to traditional multivariate statistical methodology. However, geostatistical techniques can deal with such spatial dependence and incorporate within the statistical model the necessary information to make reliable predictions based on kriging. In this paper we analyze and show the results of a general study based on data collected by means of a GIS system. The goal is to guide land use planners and managers particularly in soils under Mediterranean environmental conditions.
