PLATÃO AND THE EDUCATION OF THE SOUL

The present work investigates the platonic conceptions on education and inquires: the thesis on the education in the Myth of the Cave contemplates the formation of the man as integrally to be conceived? This work assumes the contribution that instigates the researchers of the philosophy when objective proper work and to evidence that, in the Myth of the one Caver-in, Platao it establishes a concept of education of the soul as release of itself. The methodology is bibliographical-documentary, for the apprehension and analysis of the said one of the philosopher study-of. It concludes that a conception of education that does not follow the platonic thought can adopt a position theoretician who valued the inserted man in the world and that in it if he launches to give account of the concrete and present existence.
