A food composition for promoting or treating anxiety contains tricin as an active ingredient. The food composition additionally contains one or more additives selected among organic acid, phosphate, an antioxidant, lactose casein, sugar, natural carbohydrate, a flavoring agent, nutrients, vitamin, minerals, a sweetening agent, a coloring agent, pectic acid, pectate, alginic acid, alginate, a protective colloidal thickener, a pH adjusting agent, a preservative, glycerin, alcohol, a carbonating agent, talc, biotin, folic acid, natural fruit juice, and flesh.
