heating layer-by-step, line by line heating, plasma heating and multiple feedstocks in additive manufacturing

A system for additive preparation, comprising a plate, an insert material dispensing system, which is adapted to output a feedstock at a location above the plate, which is specified in a CAD program, and a heat source which is set up to a temperature to increase the feedstock simultaneously across the entire layer, or over a range which extends over a width of the plate, and it scans the area over a length of the plate. The heat source can be an array of heat lamps or a plasma source.
