Predictive direct power control for rectifier stage of solid state transformer

Solid state transformer (SST) is considered as a key device for energy internet to interconnect renewable energy resource, energy storage devices and loads. Rectifier stage of SST absorbs sinusoidal input current and maintains constant dc-link voltage. This paper proposes a predictive direct power control (PDPC) methods utilizing the DQ rotating frame to control the active and reactive power dynamics of rectifier stage. Fast and accurate active and reactive power performances in steady state and dynamic states are shown in the simulation results, which prove the effective of the proposed PDPC.
