Low-power and fast switching in III–V photonic crystals

We report on recent advancements in membrane photonic crystals based on III–V semiconductors. We fabricated highly nonlinear waveguides with low insertion losses and demonstrate ultra-fast all-optical response to ultra-low energy excitation in resonant cavities.
