Characterization of vanadate-sensitive ATPase activity of plasma membrane vesicles purified by phase partition from Peach-tree leaves

1993
A pure plasmalemma-enriched fraction was obtained, after aqueous two-phase partition, from Peach-tree leaves cell. Characterization of the vanadate-sensitive ATPase has shown that plasma membrane ATPase found in woody plants has similar characteristics as plasmalemma ATPases observed in other plant species (vanadate sensitivity, K m ), but plasmalemma ATPase specific activity was found to be lower than in other species. In Peach-tree cells, plasma membrane ATPase was identified as a peptide of 110-115 kDa
