Application of Hybrid Metasurface for RCS Reduction of Dual Band Slot Antenna

In this paper, a structure applying hybrid metasurface to reduce a dual band slot antenna's radar cross section (RCS) is presented. The presented structure consists of a frequency selective absorber (FSA) and a polarization conversion reflector (PCR) capable of absorbing wide band electromagnetic (EM) waves with a reference antenna operating at 10.8 GHz and 15.4 GHz respectively below. As a result, the reduction of RCS of slot antenna can reach 10 dB and 14.47 dB maximally without affecting its radiation performance.
