Multicluster solutions of the Elliott SU(3) nucleonic Hamiltonian and alpha-cluster level density

Properties of the dense α-cluster spectra of even-even nuclei with masses falling in the range 30 – 40 are analyzed. The spectrum of 32S nucleus is chosen as an example. The generalized Hamiltonian of the Elliott SU(3) model is invoked for the interpretation of the data.
