Dynamics of the Understanding and Transformation of Work: Data for a History of the Cooperation Between Trade Unionists and Researchers in Ergonomics and Occupational Psychology in France

The authors, trade unionists and researchers in ergonomics and occupational psychology, trace the main stages of the progressive construction of a cooperation between trade union organizations and researchers in the course of the last fifty years, an intervention for the improvement of work and health conditions. Through the reflexive description of tightly linked research experiences and training in which they participated, they highlight the dynamics at play, sources of new and useful knowledge for action in the work environment. Nevertheless, questions still remain to be resolved together.
