О влиянии таблетирования с бромидом калия на инфракрасные спектры поглощения индометацина

We have studied the influence of pelletizing with KBr on the IR absorption spectra of molecular crystals at room temperature using mechanically treated mixtures containing crystalline indomethacin and excipient polyethylene glycol in 1:1 and 1:3 proportions. It was found that the absorption bands in the region of 2000 - 500 cm-1 of mechanically activated mixtures after pelletizing with KBr exhibited significant broadening. The obtained experimental data are explained using the notions of possible interactions between the crystalline drug component and the KBr matrix during molding and storage.
