Genetic Association of CCR5 Polymorphisms with HBV Infection

2009
Chemokine and chemokine receptor play an important role in anti-virus immunity system. Hepatitis B is caused by the injured liver cell that is led by specific immune response of the expression of anti-gen system and antibody system, and by non-specific immune response of specific cytokines mainly to the cell factors. CCR5, as a chemokine, plays an important role in the occurrence and development of hepatitis B. This urticle introduces the CCR5 gene structures and functions, and the relevance between the polymorphism of HBV in the coding region and the promoter region and HBV infection. Key words: CCR5 ;  Genetic polymorphisms;  H BV infection
