Comparison of Power Quality Improvement between 3P2L VSI and Cascaded H-Bridge 3L Inverter Based Dual DSTATCOM

2020
This paper is about power quality improvement which analyse the comparison between 3P2LVSI (voltage source inverter) and cascaded H-bridge 3L inverter based dual distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM). For these topologies the operation of DSTATCOM is providing the switching pulses by using instantaneous symmetrical component theory (ISCT) along with PI controller. The comparative analysis is to select the particular level used for power quality improvement within distribution system. Both the topologies are use to control the ISCT controller algorithms which are use to formulated on the basis of a mathematical equations by using MATLAB/Simulink. In comparison with the 3P2L VSI and cascaded H-bridge3L inverter based dual distributed static compensator (DSTATCOM) demonstrates more power quality improvements and DC link capacitor voltage, voltage balancing, and source current distortion of harmonic reduction under at the disturbance influence caused by at the balanced nonlinear load condition.
