The starter comprises a starter body installed in the air-conditioning indoor machine, the starter body is installed in the air-conditioning indoor machine through a plug-in type structure, the plug-in type structure comprises a plug-in slot disposed in the air-conditioning indoor machine, the plug-in slot matches the starter body, the starter body is inserted into the plug-in slot in a plug-in insertion manner, the starter body comprises an alloy housing, which matches the plug-in slot and forms a bearing surface, leads for connecting an external compressor, metal sheets disposed in the alloy housing, PTC sheets disposed in the alloy housing and an insulation film, the metal sheets are disposed in a manner that the metal sheets tightly press the PTC sheets, the insulation film wraps the metal sheets and the PTC sheets, and the leads extend into the alloy housing and then are connected with the metal sheets. The starter are installed on the indoor machine, so the starter is very easy to maintain, replacement of the starter can be achieved by a user according to an error code, user's using and maintenance cost is reduced, and the fact that a man goes up to a high place to disassemble an external machine and then to maintain or replace the starter is prevented.
