Early Detection of Coronary Artery Disease in Women

The total number of men who develop clinically manifested heart disease during their lifetime is greater than that number diagnosed in women, but currently more women die as a result of coronary artery disease (CAD) than men. It has been estimated that 63% of these deaths occur in women who had no antemortem CAD diagnosis.
