Ensuring the Practical Applicability of Algorithms for User Behavior Modeling Through Integration into Building Automation Systems.

Significant deviation of predicted from real energy demand between planning and operation phase of buildings is amongst others caused by insufficient user behavior modeling capabilities. Technological progress, especially in the context of Internet of Things as well as Digitization, increases implementation possibilities in building automation systems, from embedded platform-based building sensors and actuators, up to edge or cloud-based applications. Thus, in joint research projects, advanced methods to enhance user behavior modeling capabilities for building automation systems have been developed.
